Welcome Race Fans....
We are team effort that shows our commitment to the Australian Lawn Mower Racing community in Victoria, Australia.   This team has it's origins deep in the lawn mowing landscape.

The Mowtec Racing Team had humble beginnings as a small club named   "E.R.O.L.M.R.A." (Eastern Ride-On Lawn Mower Racing Assoc). This was one of a number of clubs who operated in Victoria for many years as seperated entities. EROLMRA was very sucessful in bringing the sport down to the south of Victoria for many years, and developed quite a following. Over time all the clubs decided that the only way forward to was join forces, and so became A.R.O.L.M.R.A INC. This is now the official governing body for Lawn mower Racing in Victoria.

With the formation of AROLMRA and the sport moving forward a change was also needed by our club. Benny G decided that he would direct the club to a new era and so was born the Mowtec Racing Team Inc.

With our on track dominace on and off the track, Mowtec also offers more to the sport than just a racing team. "Organising races" is another role that "Mowtec" plays in keeping the sport vibrant and on the move. With races such as Cowwarr, Stony Creek, Toooradin, Carribean Gardens and Cardinia and not to mention the "Mower Racing Nationals" that were held at Dubbo in May 2009. Which I might add, were very successful.

These different aspects to our team can be broken up like this......

Mowtec Racing Team
Mowtec Event Management
Mowtec Engineering and Workshop
Mowtec Transport
Mowtec Catering and Brewery

Engineering means everything to this team. Our workshop think tank concentrates on little other than discovering speed and enhancing the technology of the three 'Mowtec" powered mower racing machines. At the race track, our pitcrew adjusts, cranks, tweaks and tunes to gain performance, power and position.

In this season , all of the components are in place to score a spot in victory lane and the chase for the ever illusive AROLMRA Championship. Shane , Ben and Paul are three of the finest "young" drivers in AROLMRA in season 2009-2010.

Ben "DA PREZ" drives the purple mower No.57 , a former proctologist, and "Red Bull Air Race" pilot who turned to mower racing in 2000. The founder of Mowtec Racing and Vice president of AROLMRA. He has a broad knowledge of racing and some would say that he his testicles are made from Titanium and that his under-pants are carbon-fibre, all we know is he's called Benny.

Shane , drives the Blue Victa No 23, the sportsman, the enigma, the embodyment of mower racing in Australia and currently the Vice President of Mowtec, and the P.R Officer of AROLMRA. On track performances have of late been on the improvement, and this year promises to be his best yet. Keep your eye on this stirling racer from the Downs.......

'Borgie", the "GO TO" man in the team, drives the silver mower No.112. Full of promise for the coming season. And impressed evryone at the Dubbo Nationals, by arriving "ROCK STAR STYLE" on a chartered Jet. So keep an eye on this up and comer. Every alternate Friday night he holds autograph sessions down at the Wonthaggi Regional Shopping Centre. The girls go wild.

So now you know the team, have a look around the site, and enjoy......
